Cotecna Nigeria recognised by MAN

Cotecna Destination Inspection Ltd, Cotecna’s subsidiary in Nigeria, was recognized for the excellence of its service delivery by the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) at its 40th annual general meeting held in Lagos on June 28, 2012. Cotecna was also commended for its collaboration with stakeholders in contributing to the country’s industrial development and growth. 

Guest speakers at the event included His Excellency Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Mr Samuel Orton, the Honorable Minister of State for Trade and Investment, representing His Excellency the President Dr Goodluck  Jonathan. 

About CDIL

Cotecna Destination Inspection Limited (CDIL) is responsible on behalf of its parent company for the provision of Nigeria Destination Inspection Service. Appointed by the Federal Government of Nigeria, Cotecna provides Build Own Operate and Transfer (BOOT) Destination Inspection services at the Apapa and Tincan sea ports in Lagos, Aminu Kano and Nnamdi Azikwe International Airports and the land borders of Jibiya and Banki.  

The seven year contract began in January 2006 and includes services such as risk management, valuation and classification, training and capacity building for Nigeria Customs Service officers and other stakeholders, provision of tools and equipment, scanning services and reporting and coordination with the relevant agencies.

CDIL’s, whose headquarters is in Victoria Island, Lagos, has a workforce of over 400 skilled staff.
